FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Are online lessons just as effective as in person?
Using Zoom with either your phone or computer, your instructor is able to study your face, neck and chest to look for sources of tension, poor posture, or other bad habits that are getting in your way. By placing your computer and phone farther away from you, your coach can study in real time your entire physical posture, gestures and presentation techniques---just as if you were in the same room.  The sound has also been very good with minimum feedback or issues when the lesson is one-on-one versus when many people are joined in a Zoom meeting. Rebecca Luttio can also accompany you and will demonstrate piano techniques visually online with her upright piano from her home studio. Online lessons are offered in order to bring the finest education to everyone, nation-wide.

What about the sound quality?
Our coaches have tested the sound of the iPhone with opera singers singing full voice and their is no distortion of sound! Your laptop will also do very well, depending on the model. Ms. Luttio uses a MacBook Air for Zoom and the sound is very good.

What equipment do I need?
All you need is to find a quiet room and have your iphone or laptop computer fully charged and ready to go! We recommend downloading Zoom on your laptop or desktop computer, but your phone can also work! Make sure you computer has a built in camera by the screen, otherwise you might consider purchasing a webcam.

Do you offer in-person lessons?
In-person lessons are also offered at Rebecca Luttio's home studio in Blaine, MN.
